It sounds strange that stories of Jesus walking on water, calming the storm, healing the blind and the lame can become commonplace. How does the extraordinary become so ordinary? probably because we forget. We forget that we're the blind in need of sight. we can't see any hope for our future, for our relationships, for our families. We forget that we're the lame who can't seem to move from where we are to where we want to be. We're the bystander in the midst of the storm wondering why God is sleeping during our greatest struggle. We forget - that the way of Jesus, as documented in the gospels, is exactly what we need today. We still need the blind to receive their sight. We still need the lame to get up and walk. We still need dead things to be resurrected.
We need the way of Jesus.
