Our vision as a church is to practice the way of Jesus so that we see the fame & deeds of God repeated in our time. From the beginning of the scriptures to their end, those who put God’s words into practice in their lives experience His power, presence, and blessings breaking into their space and time. This is why Jesus called people to not simply to believe in Him, but to follow Him. Jesus taught that those who hear His words and choose to put them into practice in their lives will experience the type of life that is available only through Him (Matthew 7). We want to lean on that promise. We want to follow Jesus by, not simply hearing His word, but doing them (James 1), so that we will experience what the prophet Habakkuk cried out for, “to see the famous deeds of God renewed in our day and repeated in our time.”
