SACRIFICIAL SERVICE
Sacrificially serving others is tremendously important to Jesus. He said in Matthew 25 that one of the ways that we serve Him is through serving the people around us.
“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
We come into the presence Jesus Himself when we enter into the presence of the poor, needy, and least of these. We bless Him, serve Him, and interact with Him when we do those things for others. Therefore, one of our core practices is seeking to sacrificially serve in our church, our community, and the nations.
